ABOUT
My name is Shiri Lopata, and I am an Israeli artist living in Ramat Gan.
I have a formal background in interior design and fashion design. Over the years, I have worked in digital design and graphic design. I have always had a drive to create and work with different materials, and in the past two years, I chose to return to creating with my hands.
The touch of clay was a dream come true, inspiring me to continue and develop my skills further.
In my work, I explore textures, organic shapes, flowing lines, and the movement of nature. Nature is a masterpiece of magic and elegance. The simplicity, calming color palette, and flow create harmony that provides softness and tranquility. My aspiration is to impart these qualities to my creations to evoke the same feelings in the viewer.
The ability to create an imperfect organic shape through a static object made of hard material fascinates and excites me greatly. Therefore, each piece is handmade with great passion and attention to detail. My working method changes with the material, and in combination with aesthetics and emotion, I try to create my own organic language.
I use raw clay types such as stoneware and earthenware, preserving the connection of the objects to the beautiful nature around us.
I am delighted to share my personal experience with you and hope that you, too, can find the emotion within the creations.
